The Luv'd Ones were an all-female American garage/psychedelic rock band in the 1960s. Led by singer/guitarist Charlotte 'Char' Vinnedge. This song is from their "Truth Gotta Stand" album.

Don't know if there is a website for this band, but there is one for Char (Charlotte Vinnedge) she was the sister of Chris and the bandleader. Go for Facebook and theElectricLady.

On the picture its Chris on the left and Char second.

  • @missmusnt do they have a website.......? fanclub?........i love thisssssssss

  • Raw yet sophisticated! Love it!

  • Great band, cheers from Iceland ;)

  • Unbelievable! Just saw a segment on Weekend Today with Amy Robach on the new "Women Who Rock" exhibit at the Rock "N' Roll Hall of Fame. They had Goldie and the Gingerbreads, but not the Luv'd Ones. OK, they might have been the first all-girl band to chart anywhere, but they were still a pop band. The Luv'd Ones were grittier. I guess charting and TV appearances were the difference.

  • In 2011, Char's personal assistant, and one of her musicians from the 1980s who had stayed in touch over the years, decided to put together a CD of Char's 1979 studio recordings and a website to sell the CD Independently. As the CD project "Better Look Out" progressed they decided to release it world wide on several services that sell Indie Rock to the masses including CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, etc...

  • According to the CD sleeve, this is in fact a live recording, which makes it stand out even more from the releases and demos on that album.

  • this band impressed me a lot, I discovered three years in one of these blogs have a song that deserves special mention. I think the name is walk me to the door. sorry for my bad english
