Mr. Hume seems to believe that we should be a one-party state with only one (official) position on the war and other public policy.
The notion of the competition of ideas seems to escape Mr. Hume and his supporters.
The subject of this clip was about the politics concerning the war, but Hume attempts to posture from on high, as though only he and his fellow Republicans have a handle on the absolute TRUTH about everything.
His comments are better suited for a one-party state.
