I like all the versions.This is my particular favorite based on the casting. Emma T.may have been a bit too old Ellenore but the feeling, talent and sense she brought to the part makes that all dissapear . I think the actress playing the mother is very nicely cast as well and then of course there is Allen Rickman. Finally Margaret which is a small part is played with passion by this young actress. She askes the questions which could not be asked in those days about the position of women.
