@icecreamgee ya i understand what you mean. disc 1 -2 were complete joyrides. disc 3 did felt slow and out-of-nowhere you're introduced to all these ideas and what not. though i never hated the game for it. enjoyed it to the end. the latter discs did feel somewhat of a different game.

@MFields2178 Squall clearly casts shadows on the balcony so he's there physically in my opinion. Oh well, will never know for sure.

the one real part that saved the game was selphie's camera. showing how life ended up being like after everything that went on. Whatever bonds you made with the characters at the start of the game, relived their moments during those 3 minutes. It was "heart warming".. makes you smile and such.. the series really killed itself during the last 2 discs. imo

this game is either 2nd or first on my list next to ffx ( never played the <16bit games). ff8 really did an amazing job up to the point of the garden attack. it involved school drama and whatnot.. you really felt like a student and relationships were being made and destroyed along the way much like any other student. Once we got to the esthar area of the game the mood just took a switch for the worse. it pretty much killed the game imo

@tzunami47 he doesn't need a remake. I really want to see higher quality graphic in this game, but its graphic isn't so bad if you think about it.

This has to be the best ending ever. Seriously, Squall changes so much during the entire game, and the ending completes it so well.
