This is an annual event at Blair Atholl Castle in Perthshire, Scotland. It normally happens on the last full weekend of May (the Bank Holiday).
The present Duke lives in South Africa and flies back to review his Regiment of Highlanders and open the Highland Games once a year.
There has been an Atholl Highlanders Regiment for many years, and such a named Regiment fought at Culloden. The present Regiment originates from circa 1840, when Queen Victoria visited the Highlands and stayed with the then Duke. She awarded the Regiment Royal Colours.
Here the Royal and the Regimental Colours are paraded through the ranks of the Atholl Highlanders at the "slow march", they then take up their position, between the two companies.
