The Apartment (from which Bhandarkar stole the Joshi story) actually is on youtube so you can find out for yourself. You don't have to watch the whole movie if you don't wish. 'the apartment part 8' (last part) says most of it though the joshi episode condenses parts from the entire movie.

It's a shame that even directors like Bhandarkar will shamelessly lift off Hollywood, hoping no one will find out. The whole Joshi story is stolen from the Hollywood flick, The Apartment. And then these folks say piracy is theft. Well what about the theft you commit?

The letter really moved me to tears. Esp. where he says "Main tumhein, tumhari zimmedaarion ke saath qabool karna chahta houn"....how beautiful! To me, those are the precise words that should´ve made her make up her mind. Jo sakhs itne saalon ke paak rishte ko toor kar yeh pooche ke "kya bachi bhi meri hai ya?"...uss ko to choor hi dena chahiye. Yaqinan inn ki beti bhi apni walida ka, barre ho kar, shukria adaa kare gi. Bachon ko aise jhoote aur makkaaar waalid ki koi zaroorat nahin!

K K Menon and Shilpa character is the most stupid, unreal thing I've ever seen. Thank God for Ifran and Konkona, they are the best actors working today in the industry.
