Most people know 'Pride and Prejudice' from the movie directed by Joe Wright, with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. This video is based on that movie, but originally the story was written by Jane Austen.
That night after the dance, Elizabeth and Jane discuss the admiration of Mr. Bingley and the vanity of Mr. Darcy. The next morning, an invitation for Jane arrives. Caroline Bingley, the sister of Mr. Bingley, invites her for dinner. However, when Jane arrives at Netherfield, Mr. Bingley's house, she has caugt a fever. When Elizabeth hears the news, she immediately goes to Netherfield as well. When she arrives, Caroline thinks she looks "positively medieval", because she has walked the entire way. But Mr. Darcy seems completely overwelmed by her appearance... Later, Mr. Bingley states he is very glad that Jane is staying, although she is sick.
