The basics of FileMaker 11.

This video explores the features of FileMaker's built-in print feature. Printing from FileMaker isn't too different than printing from regular applications. With a few exceptions.

FileMakers default print behavior is to print the current Found Set. This means if you only want one record, you need to specify that! FileMaker also allows you to print only the current record, print the found set ( as mentioned previously ), and to print a blank record.

The blank record is real handy if, say, you are the secretary of a doctors office. You need to have the patients fill out the necessary information on the form, so then later you are able to enter the data into your Database.

FileMaker also makes it easy to hide certain aspects of your layout during the printing process. To do this, navigate to Layout Mode, and on the inspectors Position Tab there is an option to "hide when printing." Check and Uncheck at your will!

This is part six in a very long training series, brought to you by LebonTech Solutions.
