well depends, alot of times we have folks that want to eat them, so we give them to them. Other times we give them to turtle farmers..

look at your local waters. If there is any sort of trash fish like gar, carp, etc. then you can bowfish those. Check your states laws for bowfishing and it'll usually tell you what you can bowfish.

theres is special bow fishing stores at least were i live there is i think im gonna make a video this year i shot cummon and mirror carp off my dock every spring when they spawn i usually get 60 70 pounders very fun lol

Honestly anything over 30 lbs draw will work, but the more poundage, the more depth the arrow will get in the water. As far as getting them, try a local outdoor store, Gander, Cabelas, Bass Proshops maybe. They have kits for a bowfishing arrow and reel. A compound or a recurve will work, I use a compound because I switch between deer hunting and bowfishing. Compound is a lot easier to hold at full draw while searching for fish though.
