Consequences [IIL Season 3] Chapter 63

[Railey’s P.O.V.]

I got to moms and she happily agreed to let me stay.
“What did he do?”
“It’s not really him, it’s more of the both of us. We just need a little break, so I decided to stay here until tomorrow or so.”
“Oh... well you’re more than welcome to stay longer,” she assured me. I smiled.
“Thanks,” I said. I slept in my old room that night. But, I didn’t really sleep at all. Nick kept calling and texting my phone. Yes, very annoying. I finally turned my phone off and drifted off to sleep - which lasted about 2 hours.

I got up around 8 AM and tried to go back to sleep, but of course failed to succeed. I got out of bed and walked into the kitchen where mom and Jaslyn was.
“Morning, hun. Sleep well?” she asked in a peppy voice. Jaslyn flashed a smile at me.
“No, feels like I slept on a gravel road.”
“Hi, sissy,” Jaslyn said in her innocent voice. I smiled at her.
“Hey, Jas.”
“When is the stork gonna drop the baby off?” she asked in her sweet voice again. I laughed and little, then gave her a serious face.
“Probably around 2 months from now-”
“2 months?! No...” she said with a pout. I gave her a sorry face and walked back upstairs to my phone. 5 seconds after I turned it on, the text messages came pouring in.
“i love you... please come home.”
“i’m sorry, baby. it’s all my fault.”
“you don’t treat me like a dog, i just said that because i was mad. i’m very lucky to have you...”
“i missed you last night ;(.”
That’s what some of them read. Whatever. I got dressed and headed for the door with my stuff.
“Thanks for letting me stay, mom!” I yelled. She came out from the kitchen.
“Leaving already?”
“Yeah, I’m not going home, just out...”
“Okay, come back anytime... love you!” she called as I disappeared out the door. I got into my car and drove to Chynae’s. She answered the door with a smile on her face, then it turned to a serious expression.
“Where have you been? Nick’s been calling me like crazy,” she said while letting me in. I sighed and fell onto her couch. She sat down beside me and stared at me intently. I told her everything that went down.
“You guys BOTH need to get a grip! You’re having a baby very soon and you can’t act like this.”
“Yeah, but-”
“Railey, no. Do you want your child to grow up around that? I sure wouldn’t, and I don’t think you would either.”
“No, but listen-”
“There’s nothing to listen to, Railey. You guys need to work things out and grow up!” she said. I sighed as we sat in silence for a little bit.
“You’re right,” I said, breaking the silence. She nodded.
“I know I’m right, now go,” she said while pushing me to the door. I walked out to my car and drove back to... OUR home. I unlocked the door and walked inside, not seeing Nick anywhere. I walked upstairs and saw him sitting on the bed looking down at his phone. Probably texting me. I knocked on the door and his head shot up. His face lit up when he saw me. He walked over and embraced me with a hug.
“I’m sorry,” we both said at the same time. I smiled and pulled back. He gently planted a kiss on my lips while placing his hands on my stomach when the baby started kicking.
“I missed you both,” he said while smiling. Ah, I love this man too much to stay away from him.
“I missed you, too. But I’m going to sleep right now, so good night,” I said while crawling into the giant bed that I missed. He crawled in beside me and wrapped his arms around my stomach, gently stroking it.

I couldn’t go to sleep at all. I felt too uncomfortable. The baby was kicking, it felt like I was going to pop, and just looking at the size of my stomach would make anyone uncomfortable. I hate this stage of pregnancy. Atleast Nick was making things a little better.

I would love to finish this story soon, but I don’t think I am.

i meant to say this on the last chapter if you ever try to leave your husband you never go to your mom or best friends place that is the first place they look unless they look to see if your staying in your parked car down the street
