Check out my backstage interview with Parkway Drive lead singer Winston McCall at Warped Tour 2010

Parkway Drive is a metalcore band from Australia. To date the band has released three full length albums and toured extensively worldwide.

The band itself was founded in 2002 and named itself Parkway Drive after the street the band practiced on. The band released several EP's and did minor touring in Australia before deciding to take a risk and make the jump to the United States in 2005. There the band recorded their debut album with renowned metal producer Adam Dutkiewicz, who is also the guitarist for Killswitch Engage.

Parkway Drive released Killing With A Smile in Australia later that year and toured strongly behind the album with acts like As I Lay Dying and Shadows Fall. The album performed strongly overseas, leading Parkway Drive to be signed to Epitaph Records. Soon after signing, Epitaph released Killing With A Smile in the United States. With a full length out internationally as well as in America, the band's popularity began to grow as an up and coming metalcore band.

In 2007 Parkway Drive released their second album Horizons. The album was received well by fans and critics alike, featuring their two biggest hits Boneyards and Carrion. In support of the album, Parkway Drive toured with Killswitch Engage and Bury Your Dead, growing their already large fan base in the United States.

The band continued extensive touring over the next few years and released a Live DVD before going back into the studio to record new music. Their third and latest album Deep Blue was released in June 2010 and debuted at #39 on the Billboard 200, their first charting album in the United States and more proof that the band's popularity continues to grow.

Deep Blue was once again well received by fans and critics. And in support of the new record, Parkway Drive finally took the right of passage and performed on the 2010 Van's Warped Tour. The band has also been confirmed to be headlining with The Devil Wears Prada in the fall.

With continued support from their homeland fans in Australia and it's metal community, their rise in popuarlity in the United States under Epitaph Records and the release of their most popular album to date, Parkway Drive looks to continue their metamorphosis from a small garage band on Parkway Drive to a superstar act in metal music.
