    Another option to handle this situation could be to take advantage of the perfect CCCC that you prepared. It is possible to pass the broken haptic behind the anterior capsule, leaving the optic in front of the CCCC.

  • Thank you for the suggestion. What I thought of doing it actually do the reverse. is to move the haptics to the sulcus and push the optic in the the ccc, this way, having the optic in the bag would decrease the PCO rate significantly.

  • What is the instrument you use to cut the IOL? I've never seen that. Very clean! I've had the same problem twice due to the assistant preparing the IOL and cutting it with the vannas scissors is much more traumatic.
