Blackie Wangerin from Bloomington, MN. broke his number 39 Ford in the 1981 Daytona 500 then was interviewed by Ned Jarrett in the infield of Daytona Motor Speedway.

Blackie took some wild rides. If I remember reading correctly, he flew over the wall at Michigan two years before.

Yes, he did go over a wall but I can't remember which track it was at. He almost died in that crash!
