Whittling a bird out of a creative block

I've been in a woodworking funk these past few weekends. Unable to really find an inspired project. So I decided to get a small chunk of wood and start whittling...something I haven't done since I was a kid. It's an invigorating exercise! So if you are at a loss for something to do, try whittling! It's asy and requires nothing more than a pocket knife and a block of pine.

@ASmooveFan Steve has been doing wood working long enough, I think he understands how whittling works, and that while you want to follow certain safety guidelines, some of them have to be skipped at times. It's kind of insulting to blurt out these silly mantras like this.
