Sometimes I see these anime scenes in the game and wonder if they actually wanted to do more,on other scenes that we would see in "game pixel format". After you kill the previous Miang, Elly was the closest woman to be "possessed" (actually awakened), so... hehe.

A waste of money they put into Xenosaga imo, they could've made other games of this unique saga.

I'm such a dork for saying this, but Elly and Miang no. 1 were two different people. Elly was created by that wave force Zohar thingy as a companion for Fei. Miang was created by Deus to create humans and guide them to his eventual resurrection. Present day Elly (by astronomical coincidence) just happened to be the next Miang "successor" after Rammus killed the old one. Which was another convenient coincidence since Deus had to merge with Elly to be reborn something something.
