Reindeers blocking tunnel on way to North Cape. When summer reindeers look for cold weather and they found it in tunnels.

That's the southern end of the Skarvberg tunnel, on the last strectch of road to the North Cape, 20km North of olderfjord crossroad.

The reindeer are often there at the end of summer, when outside temperatures are over 15° for a few days.

You can hear the whistle, which is to discourage them to come in the tunnel. But sometimes, the temptation is too big.

Now they have placed some tubes on the road so reindeer should not cross, and a fence all around. Not sure it helps very much.

I'm from Honningsvåg and that's normal, every summer there are lots of reindeers in the tunnels because of the cold.
