After looking at some of the pitfalls of the notion that the Bible is inerrant and the literalist approach to the Bible, I ask inerrantists and literalists a couple of questions.

And let me just say how proud I am that this video was #27 on Sunday in South Korea. Booyah! South Korea, it's you and me, baby.

  • @halolIlmao0 There may have been some influence, but likely the idea of Satan came mostly from Ahriman, the Zoroastrian god of evil. Though the Old Testament Satan was different from the one Christians are familiar with, hence why the Megami Tensei series of RPGs consider Satand and Lucifer to be seperate beings.

  • pause at 8:16 great booty

  • Why are people vexed by errors in the bible? Because they turned to the bible to stop thinking. Let's face it, thinking deeply about existence, death, the universe and other such matters is taxing. It has driven people insane. So to have a text that contains all the answers is a blessing. And now you come along and tell them that that's not the case? That even with the bible, they still have to think? To figure out which parts are true and which not? Why, it's like taking a toddler's pacifier.

  • Satan is a copy of the Egyptian god Seth.

  • I am an illiteralist. That means I don't read the bible I just believe what ever I am told. ;)

  • im a literalist

  • Thank you so much for pointing out the obvious....Christianity has evolved into a Corporate hive mentality non- logical Religion. From my understanding by the way it is being practiced today particularly by the Mega-church Evangelicals and their offshoots they have indeed removed power from Jesus and Greatly empowered his adversary... Satan. It seems truly extraordinary and even Outrageous to me. What a Perversion and mockery they have made of Christianity.

  • @tigerglebe Exactly what names are you referring to?

  • @ReverendTFunk James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

  • @ReverendTFunk Matthew 5:21-22 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.
