This is dedicated to my cousin Jason Merchant. This video was shot on March 4th...His Birthday. He died to young and left us way too soon. We Miss You Jake!
This is the top 6 Final round of Grand Rapids got Talent fundraiser for Lacks Cancer Center at St. Mary's Hospital.
This performance landed second place! That night we (6 acts) all raised over $4,500 and overall almost $15,000 over the 6 week competition. All to fight cancer because we all know someone. I would like to Thank all the people who donated money to Lacks Cancer Center and their votes to me and everyone who came out to supported me and this cause. Thank You.
We made a difference and maybe even saved someones life.

  • I practice Arnis Sikaran, Sandatahan(armory of weaponry). My art is from the Philippines as well. They put ropes on their weapons because it is very wet over there and it keeps them from falling in the mud. So, yes...it's real as part of the original art. Also, they learned to use their tools to protect themselves when attacked and swinging them on ropes keeps them at bay. Nobody steps into a blade flying full speed.. Thanks for watching!

  • Dudet, you've got some really nice skills :) hmm, but not to become all slimy on my part.. I have a question: Your weapons.. they have like a rope on them.. witch makes them perfect for that move you do when slinging them around or something.. can I ask if thats from an actual martial arts or something you developed? because.. (and I dont mean to offend you with that) I saw a similar fighting style in the video game God Of War..well, its pretty neat! Please let me know :) (I practice Escrima)

  • Ridiculously hot performance; you're the next Karen Shephard! I remember you from WEKAF in Fremont ....
