i have seen the video yeah and its true he picktaps but he's like god kinda so he can cheat if he wants

plus he makes it sound good

and in S&M he fingertaps and it sounds better

Pick tapping isn't cheating, its just a different technique on tapping, check out Joe Satriani's surfing witht the Alien! its impossible to get that sound with your fingers, pick tapping is harder to do than finger tapping, just so you know Satriani taught Hammett, and I doubt Satriani would cheat being the quality of guitarist that he is, hope that makes sense.

all the things you said are true except for one, picktapping is easier. i can play the picktapping part of surfing with the alien, and it's like the easiest part of the solo

It is the easiest part true, but maybe you find it easier, but generally it harder for most people to get a decent note ringing out with the pick, your just lucky

the reason i consider it cheating isn't that it's easier to pull off, it's just SO much faster. you can tap almost twice as fast.

i think i have a better ear and he has better technique cuz he posted a new one and he plays it with the recording, but he picktaps (cheater!) and plays a lot of the wrong notes
