The word "faggot", regardless of what it means to anyone, personally, is almost always attached to violence- even when that violence is implied and not actually physical. Even when people say it out of pure ignorance, they are using it BECAUSE they are homophobic. Most ignorant people have the basic understanding that something is "faggy" because it is gay-like and therefore bad. Free Speech does not cover someone's "right" to violate another human's right to exist.

the way i see it your actually pretty cool. i have some gay friends that are ok. the gays i dont like are the ones who act like fucking prisses. they piss me off when they act like theyre better than everyone else.

I'm bisexual and I am a faggot. Hell I support the gay community, but I do not support it getting caught up in words without context.
If someone is saying Faggot out of hate, then they'll just as well say homosexual with the same intent.
