Taylor nailed it- this performance was one of the top 10 in idol history. The judges knew what they were talking about. Taylor Hicks has a great mix of rock and soul- the most original contestant and winner ever.

The Great Otis Redding should resurrect himself, don some MMA gloves, and beat the living tar out of this guy for this watery, syrupy, soulless travesty to his legacy

Sounds like a stock broker visiting a blues club on a weekend after playing too much blues on his IPOD, running half drunk on the stage, singing Karyoke and subsequently thinking this qualifies him to be a blues singer

@BrooklynOmerta Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's right. I am sure Taylor does have talent with music, but I never said he can't sing, I know he can...I meant his singing voice isn't good enough to wow me and make me wanna keep listening to his music.

I bet that could be why he dissapeared after winning idol, his singing voice just isn't good enough to make millions and millions of people wanna keep listening to his songs

Just because someone ISNT in the limelite, Billboard or selling Plat records doesnt mean they are not gifted or"star"material.Who cares about "stars".Im talking about raw real authentic talent,not bullshit like Ciara,who sells out stadiums but cant sing 1 note.Its clear that U do base your opinions on what society dictates to U because U keep going back to him fading away.This happens to TONS of gifted people.

@17NJDevilsfan Well, that is your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. As far as him "not" being able to sing, I find that part shocking that U would say that, but again, it is about preference and opinion. I mean there are opera singers who certainly have some serious pipes on them but I cannot listen to it. I find it creepy and boring all at the same time. Take Care & be safe. @BrooklynOmerta I don't billboard determine that at all for me...I simpy mean, Taylor doesn't have a good singing voice that amazes people. If he can up selling platnium records than I will admit he is a great singer and that I was wrong about him.

Until he proves me wrong, I will always think of him as someone who isn't good enough to be big in the music bussiness. The fact that he isn't heard much about anymore proves he isn't star material in the music industry

Im willing to bet that in the event if he did end up selling Platnium records & ended up being a huge huge Artist, something tells me then and only then you would like him. @17NJDevilsfan Marketing failure and other shit that works against true artists have nothing to do with not being an authentic singer/artist.Think about what you said. U cant possibly think that ALL the artists/singers who have not made it into the mainstream or commercial its because they werent good! Thats ridiculous.There are tens of thousands over the yrs,even before I was born & more to come who wont "make it" & its NOT due to lack of talent. Dont let the Billboard determine shit for you.
