I will agree by saying that every Bach recording of Ms. Mields could be part of the first track of the next Golden Record sent into the outer space to represent the best of what we are.

@DocSwi Cecicilia Bartoli ist seit Jahren auf dem Egotripp, ich kann ihr leider nicht mehr zuhören; aber es gibt ja Gott sei Dank, wahre Musik für das Herz, die Seele und unsere mit Lärm belästigten Ohren
und begnadete Dirigenten wie Philippe Herreweghe

@DocSwi I could not agree with you more. No extra vocal ostentation - only the sheer beauty of what breathes from the score, from the instruments, the conductor, the chorus, the blessed talents of a rare and gifted artist, Dorothee Mields. She has obviously spurned vibrato-peddlers who obscure what is there. More power to her integrity and those accompanying her. Knowing her early start in Bremen, it is a privilege to witness her artistry unfold.

So sollte es immer sein. Da können sich sogennte "große" Namen eine dicke Scheibe abschneiden (auch Frau Bartoli etc.!!!)
