Prayers for Bobby (Here's Where I Stand)

Prayers for Bobby is one of the most touching movies touching on homosexuality, homophobia, and oppression from religious interpretations. The scene that gets me the most is when Mary steps out from the parade and hugs a boy dressed in the fashion of Bobby. Not to mention that boy is pretty cute. ^_^

If you haven't seen either movies, Prayers for Bobby or CAMP, i suggest you go out and find them!!

@tineeeable Hi! You want him to live and be joyful, God bless you. Tell him to go to It Gets Better on google, and go to that website. Also, he can watch it gets better videos on youtube. He needs a support person in your family (you), and someone outside the family that you implicitly trust to deal with bigotry. I helped a young gay teen while I was around him, and I'm gay, and a Christian, so he identified with me. Try and find a group he can be a part of and he will be liked. :)

That is so sweet of you but, do take heart my darling Bobbys' suicide sad and as horrible as it was for everyone who knew and loved him, did happen almost 30 years ago in a far different society! What became of Bobby in no way has to be the fate of any young person gay or straight! May G-D bless you darling, for surely this exemplifies the pureness and goodness of your heart! Should you know of such a young person try and be there for them!
