I love Morrisey's microphone and Marr's backing guitar parts at 0:35. I think that audio doesnt come from the live version.

Notice how he mocks machine gunning the audience down.

Morrissey not only created a unique style of lyrics, fashion and singing, but he also created a trademark dance. Genius in every sense of the word.

Poor Morrissey, no room to really move on that tiny stage

nothing explains his dancing, it's unique. I love it, but the rest of us would look rather silly doing the same thing.
Never got to see them back when, i hope he comes to Seattle this year

@planetmormon Shows like this (and "Solid Gold" in the U.S.) were there to showcase a new album or song in a seemingly live atmosphere (audience & performance). Because it was new and being introduced, they WANTED people to hear the recording and get to know and love and buy it. Once a song is well-known then performing it live (w/o lip syncing) is more appropriate.

@Blink182isthesex I have a solution for you when watching this video or any of your other favorite vids: go to your favorite video, then click on the web browser address bar but highlight only the word "tube", then erase it. After that, type in "repeat", then hit "ENTER", and the video automatically repeats itself. It works! Trust me.
Morrisey was always insane on stage, I can't understand why people called him boring or miserable.
This classic song was only number 26 in the charts! Hilarious, in those days you really felt part of something listening to bands like the Smiths.
