  • the mystery of the mind isnt of consciousness, its of perception. because consciouness is simply are awareness of reality, and all mental processes or thoughts are a combination of perception with the brains ability to decode sensory information i.e. intelligence. How does physical information enter the physical brain and turn into a purley mental perception?

so ultimately the question of the mind is How can physical information manifest itself in a mental form?

    someone please answer...

  • @shahza13 Maybe in the same way that physical info manifests in a digital form on our tv. Then the question still remains what does it manifest onto. My idea is a Primary Field Theory (google it)… within which our universe is an activity. This activity stimulates the Primary Field.. and we call this stimulation of the field – consciousness. The brain acts as a processor. it's activity modifying the field

As Bill Hicks said: “We are all one consciousness.. experiencing itself subjectively”

  • @shahza13 I've been thinking that there is a close connection between the height of consciousness and language/communication. i.e. the level of consciousness is developed in proportion to the language capacity of the animal because language requires consciousness/objectivity in order to function. Consciousness would in effect be the inner voice.

  • How the brain produces consciousness? No no no no no. A better question is: How does consciousness produce the brain.

  • And i thought i was going crazy.. Thanks for posting this

  • @kukre01 - You can find the end of anything if you remain within the confines of Time and Space, but what happens when you step outside of those boundaries? If you meditate adequately you enter into a realm that is timeless and boundless. That is the realm of Spirit which is a state of high frequency far above our Earth's normal rate. At present our physical senses are confined to a certain range of vibrations and in time you learn to step beyond it

  • @shahza13 You mean how does animation come from inanimate particles? Well you'll soon realize that all particles are alive and conscious and that most ego mindsets are the real illusions. Matter is able to bend at our command because it is light, which is exactly what we are. We are light beings experiencing ourselves as light

  • @mindopnr - And spiritually speaking, it is said, "When you understand the Law you become the Law." That is how the Master Jesus said, "I Am the Life." He spoke from his highest spiritual consciousness, as Spirit. He understood the connection between the individual and the Universe. True, the human brain is limited. God is not an intellectual process, it is an opening up of the heart centre, an awakening of the soul.

  • @mindopnr - Well, thankee! People can have psychic visions but lack experience in interpreting them. It just requires practice and knowledge. Try: near-death ( dot ) com for further info. I also suggest looking up Eileen J. Garrett, a very honest and forthright medium who explains what she learned.

  • @goldie0800 That is one of the best answers I have ever been given. No joking. If I'm understanding you right; that is why people who have near death experiences can't explain in words what they "saw", because they didn't necessarily see anything it's what they were a part of. The human brain can't comprehend something that is, for lack of better word, indescribable? Mainly though I made that post for the few that were battling days ago, I think about, religion and science.

  • @gruyyt - Eh, "What is Reality?" You are mixing your terms: You "see" via physical sight, and you "perceive" by your inner awareness. Consciousness is eternal, it is beyond a mental process. As spiritual beings we can function through our intuitive centre called the "third eye" which is all-knowing, whether you are in the body or not. You're correct to say sense deprivation results in non-thinking but there is your Spirit everpresent within, always.

  • @mindopnr - Intellect deals with perception only in parts since it is restricted within Time and Space; whereas Spirit is involved as a totality, One Whole. You don't comprehend God, or Cosmic Mind, by Intellect only but you as individualized consciousness are destined to meld into the Cosmic Consciousness ultimately.
