Music translation of icecream by cook Gigi. At this occasion I translated the menus of the great Italian cook Gigi into music, and created this music on the spot.
I played the samba on a Roland Stage Piano. The percussion pattern is from this instrument's samples of Latin percussion.
If it tastes good, and you want to hear more, go to: www.barendschipper.com
Here you find music samples of my integration of all kinds of world music and classical music.
It is also the link to my Latin piano trio Bernardo, for which I composed integration of classical and Latin as well as between different Latin styles as in the centuries-old Latin American tradition on the Dutch Caribes. Enjoy!.

  • very nice work!

  • I don't know about the samba rhythm. I do know your harmonies are intriguing I'd like you to something away from the beat.

  • very nice piece ^-^.

    thank you for sending it!

  • very nice....I like the slow, relaxed tempo....

  • We really enjoyed your "Slow Samba". Quite an unusual setting and concept, but very interesting. We especially enjoyed the rhythmic freedom of your lead lines over the steady beat. We use improvisation and meditative audience participation in certain concert settings with very favorable results. As time permits we will try to listen to more of your vids.Keep up the good work!

  • VERY INTERESTING, I hope to here live you one day or play togheter. Greeting from Italy!

  • This is very inspiring. Thank you.
