This is the aircraft I fly now. It's a very rare, highly modified Beech 18 - now designated as a BE8T. It has the Volpar gear instead of the traditional tailwheel gear, the fuselage was stretched 7 feet and the R985 radial engines were replaced with TPE331-1-101B Garret Turboprops. Its loud, fast, obnoxious, and a blast to fly! Only a handful are still flying in the United States.

  • If I ever buy a Beech I wouldn't mind the new gear but the Radials would have to stay.

It just looks better with radials.
