Battle Network 4 players... Do you dread stepping into Undernet 4 because of ShadeMan? Well, worry no longer! I'm here to give you my own brand of advice for defeating that "blasted pink vampire" in my first of hopefully many Battle Network walkthrough videos!

((NOTE: I... might have missed a detail or two. Also, this was made with total disregard for the Mystery Data accompanying ShadeMan. The goal was to simply defeat him. Nothing more.))

There's one more thing you missed that should've been added in this vid, It saved my life during my first battle against Shademan... The buster you have can cause up to 5 hp damage without charging. I had 1 hp left and was chipless while Shademan had 5 hp. 3 bats were coming after me and a BIGASS bat right in front. In the spur of the moment, i fired my buster... unknown that the buster could cause damage, I LOL'd for about 30 seconds after a different 30 for trying to evade those damn batsXP

@Snipehunter09 Actually, I do bring it up in a way. At 1:54, "Hit ShadeMan with an attack that deals ten or more damage and he'll split into up to four bats."

I was pretty sure that implied that hitting him with anything weaker still does damage. Uncharged Buster shots are the only way unless you're up for some Holy Panel shenanigans.

I don't get hard mode and super-hard mode.

First, do I have to go through the entire game again without keeping my HP, chips, library, or navicust parts?

And second, do I keep my souls, and I just need an explanation of the thing so I get it.

When you beat Duo, you get the option to "Start Game ((INSERT NUMBER))" or "Continue from Save" when you select Continue.  Selecting "Start Game ((NUMBER))" will start the game over, but you keep everything you got in the last game. Your HP, Customizer, Folder, Souls, everything. The viruses also get stronger and the contents of the BMDs and PMDs are changed.

Game 1 is Normal, Game 2 is Hard, Game 3 and on is Very Hard. You can't backtrack, so make sure you get everything before moving on.

You can hit him with PileDriver, but he has to be in bat form for it.

In my game I was little and used a D chip when ever it came up and now shade mans the only chip i need but when ever i kill him no matter what chips i use i always get dark shade man and i need to get a soul cleaner. Can you help me?
