Hi everyone,

This is a new review and test of Laura my fiancées BSA Ultra shooting various brands of pellets in the indoor range at my work.

Since the last review I did the Ultra has been regulated with a Tench regulator, fitted and thanks to Phil8282 from the Hunting Life Forum, Airgun Section.

In this review I try 4 different quality brands of pellets with 3 different sizes (4.51mm, 4.52mm and 4.53mm) and shoot them at 27 yards to see which pellet works best in the rifles barrel for accuracy.

As you will see if you watch the whole review the JSB Exacts at 4.53mm are absolutely brilliant in this rifle producing 5 shots going basically through the same hole less 1 or 2 mm at the very most.

These will be the pellets that me and Laura will use form now on with this rifle for hunting quarry and HFT competitions.

Enjoy and I hope the lads that have been asking questions about good pellets for the BSA Ultra will get a good steer of which pellets to look at trying first.

ATB

Si.

  • Mine was done for free as a favour for a favour from Phil8282 on the Hunting Life Forum, but normally its around £120s.

  • Hi lads, I'm currently away on military ops at the moment. I will respond to your posts tomorrow or Monday. Until then stay safe. Si.

  • @ MVMARANATHA,

Thanks again for commenting on the clip friend. Yes your right pal. I wouldn't put dirty oil into my car so why would I put dirty pellets into my rifles? Washing and sorting pellets if you want the best results possible is the thing to do and if world champion FT and HFT personality's do it, it good enough for me and Davy.

Keep at it mate and you cant go wrong.

    Si.

  • @yammo12,

Thanks for the comment my friend but I feel your being too kind.

The groups were shot in a windless range with no pressure on me at all apart from the camera which I'm now used to.

I would not have gotton so tight groups if i was in a comp and pressure was on me but thanks again any way

  • @ Davy Thomas,

Thanks buddy, you know how much I value and love the BSA Ultra.

You saw it in action for yourself at the farm 2 weeks ago. 53 metre standing unsupported shot NO PROBLEMO.

Yes the NV section is going to be brilliant and its going to shock a lot of people of what we are going to show them.

    See you soon pal.

  • That last group is beautiful! Well done! Yes the pellet is critical but you did your part too. Excellent!

  • Very interesting. I do the same reloading for my .308 and .223. I weight and mic every projectile and select groups of 5 that are exactly the same. From there I exactly weigh propellant and seat each to the same COAL. Lot of work doing all this but its a labor or love, right? Good to know you have this level of knowledge and devotion to your shooting sport! Thanks for all you do!

  • how much did it cost to get it tench regulated love all your vids keep it up thanks

  • nice vidio very informative im learning quit a lot from your vids for example (i always used to zero my bsa r10 m2 177 12 fps at 30 mtrs now i zero at 19 thanks for that i do use my scope more now insted of just the cross hairs i find it better now) do you think that the jsb exact 4.53mm will be compateble with my bsa r10 m2 177 its standard 12 fps & tighten my groups up. look forward to your reply.

  • cracking vid buddy we started off with jsb's and always ended up back with them ...

  • @VerminHuntersTV

si can you please show how to make the adapter for the camera to the scope please?

brilliant channel and superb shooting buddy.

    kind regards mike.

  • Another great video Si buts its not just the BSA the 4.53s work well in I use them in my Daystate Mk4 with really good results. A lot of Daystate shooters use the 4.52s but having tried both I found the 4.53s were more consistent - in my gun at least.

Looking forward to your next video mate!

  • Well, it is no secret that some pellet brands perform better in certain barrels. Yet the acclaim with regard to accuracy is in the hand of the person who has is finger on the trigger, and si, that really is down to you. Thumbed and faved.
