My aunt Barb is in an Alzheimers facility. Her daughter, my mother, and another cousin and I all went to see her yesterday. My cousin gave her a haircut. She is having more difficulty with word finding now, but she was once the brightest, wittiest woman I knew.

  • Did the lady have Alzeimers? She seems happy and talkative.

  • The lady is my aunt. She's happy and talkative, but not really connecting with the family and not really knowing what she is talking about. Since this movie was taken, she no longer recognizes anybody and a visit like this is no longer possible.

  • Many patients and their family's do not realise that they can reclaim any fees that have been paid out of their own pocket for ongoing care for a loved one. Even if the patient has passed away, the family can still reclaim their lost inheritance.

Families who have loved ones suffering with alzheimers and other debilitating illnesses should contact us without delay and let us get the ball rolling for you. We operate a 'no win no fee' and there are no upfront charges to make either.

  • what a wouderful woman =) i wish you and your family the best.

  • My great grandmother has this disease. She is 90 years old and physically fit. Personally i find that she has her good days and bad days. On a bad day she well be very quiet and struggles to get her words out. On a good day she is alot more talkative and switched on.

The whole family have adapted to the disease now, so we all know what to expect and how to understand her.

  • I can relate. My mom has alzheimers.

  • My landlord just died recently! 2008 Is a horrible year!

  • MY best friend just got diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease. A great friend he is! Just to see him deteorate before my eyes is so heartbreaking!

When I say best friends I say friens who are inseparable! I have nobody else!

  • Why would visits no longer be possible just because she doesn't recognize u? I work in an Alzheimer's unit, and to be honest, love and affection makes a huge difference in their world. They might not know ur name, or who u are, but it truly helps to have visitors. I am sorry to hear that ur Aunt isn't doing so well. My heart goes out to u.

  • I am glad you took videos so you could remeber visits like this.
