In a debate over domain seizures and newly proposed laws, SOPA and PROTECT IP, Steve Tepp from the US Chamber of Commerce (the large lobbying organization who is working hard to get these bills passed) used a bunch of statistics to suggest how important these seizures and new laws are. Exploring the actual facts behind the numbers shows how the US Chamber of Commerce misleads with statistics, as the details suggest a very different reality that the picture Tepp paints.

  • Great great stuff! walmart is the chamber and walmart owns Hollywood and SOPA is a way to monopolize all media

  • Wow, now has more views than the original: 2M8bIdDT-Fg

  • this video should be trending!

  • at least 50% of the time "counterfeit" jersey's and purses are just ones with bad seams taken by chinese factory workers, fixed and resold.... Why make a whole counterfeit purse when you have a shoddy one they won't sell!

  • @omurphy27 Just saying it reminded me of his argument, Plato didn't think the average voter would be educated enough (seriously trying not imply in positive or negative just saying it's similar)

  • @Comanglia I'm not saying that the congressman have to get CS degrees.

But if they're going to be passing laws on things that affect millions of people, they should at least take a few hours to study up on the subject. Hell, a college student studying for a simple quiz (never mind an exam) would be better informed than these idiots.

One guy, Mel Watt i think, said he knew nothing about technology but still refused to hear from an expert since 'it wouldn't matter'!

  • @omurphy27 What you said reminds me of Plato's argument against democracy. (not a bad or good thing just a bit odd)

  • @luizoak He reminds me of really old Communist and Socialist propaganda Fat Capitalists (Early 1900s Late 1800s)

  • I can't believe these fucking idiots are making laws based on things they don't even understand without consulting experts at all.

  • This Chamber of COmmerce dude looks like a text book villain. O.o
