This song is still one of Gary's favorite recordings. It still sounds great live.

the songs of gary lewis remind us of our college days with my spouse in the country we were born. thanks for the upload.

It's also got the same attitude as "Steppin' Stone"...but Gary, great as he could be, just couldn't sound as snotty as Micky Dolenz

My wife and I saw Gary Lewis & The Playboys in concert a couple of years ago, and before they sang this song, Gary introduced it as being his very favorite of all the songs they ever recorded. And I tend to agree this is the group at its best.

For quite awhile Leon Russell worked in the recording studio background, producing, writing & arranging material for others. Gary & the 'boys relied on his skills for solid material such as this.

Great tune from a very under-rated group. Sure, with legendary producer Snuff Garrett, they were probably more of a 'studio' group than a 'live' band, but during the 60's, who cared? Thanks for posting.

Another kick-butt production by Snuff Garrett! THE Unsung genius of the sixties.
