  • digital or film?? (mini dv)

  • the sony pd150 is a digital camera, working with mini dv tapes. It also has the DVCAM format. The camera that I used is PAL

  • Did you shoot this on progressive mode or in interlaced?

  • Interlaced, 50i. Then it was deinterlaced in Adobe Premiere CS3.

  • No, I haven't used any adapters. Just the camera and my skills.

  • does this camera do HD?

  • @SubconsciousGatherer The Sony cameras in that camera range (PD 150, 170 etc) come with an auto-focus option set on by default, as well as auto-iris, but you can set everything to manual using the menus and buttons on the back of the camera.

  • I've heard David Lynch say this camera has auto-focus. I don't know much about cameras, so how does it know what to focus ON? For example, you show here a close up of a metal fence, then it refocuses to the building behind it, off in the distance. Did you manually alter someting to change focus from close-up to far away?

    Great images, by the way!

  • The PD 150 was a good prosumer camera, great quality and low light sensitivity for the price.

  • do you have to have a additional mic or can you just use it as it is?

  • this is a good camera??? please i would like your answer!!! i want for a wedding and event

  • Good color quality. Qstn though, how did u achieve the wide aspect ratio coz i think pd150 shoots 4.3 yet your video looks widescreen ?

  • do You change the iso based on where You shoot, or leave it constand and only change the F Stop? I get grainy footage from this camera whenever i shoot outdoors, but fine indoors
