FF Tactics Max Stats Guide Fastest (part 5/11: 50+ levels in 10 minutes)

Having 999 HP, 999 MP, a speed of 50, a physical attack of 99, and a magic attack of 99 seems like you'd have to use a Gameshark or the related in order to have. It turns out that it's entirely possible to have such stats without cheating, rather, exploiting a weakness/design flaw in the game. You've seen the basics for stat-raising, now I'll strap a rocket to the process and fire it off. I'll show you the fastest method I'm aware of, for both basic stat raising and the case of when the stat-raiser is a mime. Unseen in the video is the disabling of messages, effects, and the displaying of gained exp and JP. Phase 1 goes from taking an hour to just 40 minutes. Phase 2 goes from taking 2 hours to taking just 1 (and opens up the possibility of getting 50+ levels within 10 minutes).

Why do you move back and forth 1 space, instead of just waiting?

In my case, I get 99 exp each time I steal gil (and keep getting it clear until the 50's).  If I got another 99, I'd level up, but start with 0 exp instead of 98. The move, due to "move-get exp", gets that last bit of experience needed for a level up, significantly hastening the process. There's actually an even faster process than this, allowing for potentially 70 levels in 10 minutes (my record is 68), and I don't even need "move-get exp" to use it!

You're only maxing stats for one character at a time?  No wonder its fast. It'd be more efficient to work on more characters. You can have somebody else level down on this map, and have other characters pull off the same move and also level up.

A helpful tip if you do have a slim and do decide to look up a guide and go through with this: When swapping discs, use a finger to slow or stop the spinning. When placing a disc, I have scratched my backup copies due to scrapping on the spinner. I prefer to use my middle finger between the hole in the disc and then push the disc down onto the spinner with my other hand.
