Lapland constitutes just over one quarter of the countrys land area and is therefore Swedens largest landscape, also often referred to as Europes last wilderness.
The region offers a wonderful variety of scenerys, from mountains with crystal clear lakes and birch forest to the ancient forest landscape with rushing rivers and marches filled with wild berries.
Do not be discouraged by the fact that we have Swedens longest winter with bitter cold and are covered in thick winter ice and meter deep snow. Sure, the temperature may drop down to almost 40 degrees below zero but the average temperature is between 10 and 15. But on the other hand, the cold climate ensures a true winter experience.
In summer the days are long since the sun hardly reaches the horizon and you tread into the land of the Midnight sun.
Here you'll find Swedens perhaps worlds best fishing waters and hunting grounds. In the racing rivers and clear lakes we find trout, grayling and arctic char. Unspoiled nature, as well as an exciting and world leading business region within tourism and space.
