The Book of Mormon and Freedom

Docent training occurs only at the beginning of even-numbered years. Although the application deadline for the January 2010 training has already passed, Sister Ames said that the Church History Museum still has docent vacancies and will continue accepting applications for a couple more weeks. She said the museum is especially interested in finding prospective docents who speak Spanish or can work on Saturdays.

I am a LDS living in Canada & I agree with Bronzemen34. Probably US' LDS had been for so many years living in a bubble, and are not able to see what is really going on world-wide, neither in their own back yard.

Note that some of the comments condemnate only Communism and Socialism but not FASCISM, which I believe is the actual cause of US' decadency (see 2 Ne 27:1-2, 28:10-13, D&C 89:4, Rev. 18): Corp. & Govmt. Corruption at the Macro as well as Materialism & Pride at the micro level...

I'm LDS USA I agree with a few other brothers . We agree on a few things , We are sleeping spiritual giants. We are some of us believe that we can 't do anything because of revalations some believe they can't stop it and let things happen. and Fear , Fear of excommunication ! Fear that they maybe breaking the laws of the land and the commandments of God.
They rather wait for the radical non-members to take actions I live here and I protest every bill peaceable and lawfully by the 1st. amend.

Sadly I see too many (not very many, but too many) of my fellow Mormons taken in by the propaganda in the media rather than aware of what the BoM warns us of.

Scriptures tell us that prophets will tell us the warnings that a loving God want us to hear.
What we need to do is listen and act.
The United States is going through the same things that happened in the Book of Mormon, and we must follow the guidelines in that book if we want to avoid our country being destroyed.
I don't mean to be political; this is a spiritual battle.
"The preaching of the word of God (is more effective) than anything else".

Yet, if we classify the battle for our freedom and liberty as a secular fight; we will sadly find ourselves in the bonds of slavery and a Constitutional Crisis!

As it may happen anyway, as all of the Children of Our Heavenly Father have the free-agency to choose 'life' or 'death', slavery or freedom; we must still exercise our voices (in the here and now) so that our minds, our spirits (and in the case of the men of the Gospel) our Priesthood powers will be ready for the task!

sence I became a member ,I have noticed that in general conf. a continued revalations are given . if you are not in tune with the Spirit you miss them .
and they just seem as good council .
If we all were doing what we are supposed to do . We would recieve Greater council from the Lord and greater revalations , until then we must learn what we already have . Christ did the same with stories and parables to confuse the Pharisees and the publicans
