berg makes the best aftermarket air cooled parts hands down, you get what you pay for. every air cooled should run there counter weighted forged crank, strong as hell and no flex up to 8k. If you can find his old cranky ass look up Jerry Burck up in beavercreek oregon. have vids from 91' showing a 67 t1 "Midlife Crisis" chop top running 11.12 from a 1835 with 48ida's at 8:1 he built. block had 200k before street/strip build and continued under daily thrashing untill the 370k after the re-build.

No offense , but you don't know what you're talking about, strictly foreign's rep is in the crapper, and have you looked into a turnkey from Berg lately?
Just asking?
-
Can I have this for my '70 Rustback???
-
order your engine from gene berg, strictly foreign, if you haven't built yours already, make sure to take into account the different expansion rates of different blends of aluminum when refering too aftermarket parts.

I think you can do better than this.
when i had this built, i asked for a "mild" build....i wanted a blend of mileage and power.... it was awesome!
