@jannajhee If you have low self esteem, start to take steps to boost your confidence & treat yourself with more respect. You can do this one decision, one moment at a time. If you are with the wrong person, get clear about what that means to you. Ask yourself- "Is it wise for me to stay in this relationship?" Honor what your answer is.

christensenlow: Yes, jealousy is frequently linked to low self esteem. It is also often linked to past painful experiences-- like having a habitually unfaithful father. If you stay clear about what is true for you-- that you are fully committed to this relationship, you own your habits that contribute to this and you stay calm (try not to get defensive) you CAN stay open. Being open might be setting boundaries when that's called for with your jealous girlfriend.

@therealgirljpunk , why is he still dealing with her anyway? If he has you then he needs to leave his ex alone. She's probably doing it to spite you. But he needs to respect your feelings and leave her alone. I don't deal with my ex's, out of respect for the new girl, He needs to be like that too.. k, so i am jealous of this girl that i don't really talk to but we have the same ethnicity and our parents know each other well and so i think i need to to communicate with her. by the way, we go to the same school so i see her. she is quite pretty and stuff and has A LOT of friends on Facebook. i go crazy when i see comments like "your hot" and stuff. once, a guy listed the top 5 beautiful girls on FB and she was the 2nd one!
