  • Here's the deal about the tuning. It's definitely out of tune. I'm taking a 56 gauge string normally tuned to E and dropping it down to Bb. Most of the time it stays pretty close, but it was out this time, no doubt. The prob is that this recording is only giving you the direct out from the console - you're not hearing any of the 'live' room sound. Really makes the out of tune string stand out. Can't stop and retune in a competition like this guys....what more can I say?

    Peace Out, Vicki G.

  • She's the female Tommy Emmanuel.

  • @rpeggio I totally disagree, but that is why music is so subjective. Don't get me wrong, I think you are spot on and this is defiantely the area where she needs to work. I LOVE TE's music but my wife hates it. She does like Mckee, Dufour and Hedges (favs of mine too) but doesn't like Tommy! WTH? Anyway, listen to the cool Hedgesisck thing from 1:26 to around 1:45, that's pretty dang good variation!

  • This isn't even her best performance, but it is amazing compared to many other guitarists.

  • @rpeggio LOL. Let's see you come anywhere near what she does here.

  • @F91yzg 52 years young.

  • @vickigenfan I'm usually very unforgiving when someone plays a detuned instrument, but they usually don't play this well... so screw that!

  • Eight people are deaf!

  • Makes me remember of Preston Reed...

  • Gimmicky and repetitive if you ask me. A full album of that tapping would drive anyone mad. Tommy Emmanuel is a zillion times better, he doesn't just tap the guitar, he plays it Chet Atkins style and can do mad scale runs and arpeggios....this chick isn't doing anything that complex.

  • How old is she?

  • @vickigenfan However still absolutely amazing!
