  • @6mustangboy since i am an adult i'd make you sit on your hands when you were about to fall asleep so you'd stay awake and drip water slowly on the center of your forehead and forbid you to move.

  • someone needs to give them something to really cry about!

  • I'm 19 and I wish at this age I coukd get my tubes tyed but no I'm too young

  • But it is of course important to make sure they realize the responsibility that comes with the decisions they make, so that they can avoid doing things that can get them killed or can fuck up their lives permanently. The preteen and teen years can be a bit of a gradient. There's no hard and fast rule on what age equates to what level of independence. Different people mature at different paces. I actually learned a lot of this from how my parents raised me.

  • Some of the older kids act out more because of some emotional issue they are grappling with. If you've built a relationship of trust with them, you can find out what's wrong and help them through the problem. Adolescence often includes a rebellious phase. Adolescent children might start to disagree with some of your values. Admittedly, it can be hard to know when to back off a bit and when to draw the line on what is or isn't allowed.

  • Some kids misbehave as a desperate cry for attention if they feel like their parents don't notice them. This might be an indication that the parents should spend a little time with them. Sometimes they have too much pent up energy. Find an outlet for that energy. Adequate physical activity has other benefits, like a healthier life down the road, and improved mental performance. Some kids are too curious for their own good. If you can keep them alive, they can be great scholars later on.

  • Bringing up examples of crying infants is a cheap shot. At that age, their not mentally developed enough to even understand the concept of selfishness. As for the kids above the age of about 2 years old, a good parent would be able to resolve or prevent most of those problems. It's a lot easier to get children to behave if you actually understand why they misbehave.

  • No babies = No Human Race

No Human Race = Well, nothing. Just bugs and animals

  • @Geckoinc2 Besides that being a horrible thing to say. My kids do not act this way. Discipline is essential. My two year old acts better than most adults. Parents try to be friends rather than parent. Keep dicks away from you and you wont get pregnant.

  • @superspinclaw And we're currently making the turn in the opposite direction because children on AVERAGE have never been this poorly behaved, the number of crimes committed by children has never been this high and parents unable to instill any form of authority have never been this many.

So sadly I'll have to inform you that you just might be lucky, because the majority of children these days are spoiled and out of control. Hence the natural response that more people appear that hate children.

  • @superspinclaw No, it's most certainly not. What we deem as proper child-rearing differs over time, currently parents find such things as temper tantrums normal if not 'cute'. A few years back such behavior would have never been tolerated. Basically child-rearing goes from strict to soft, when the curve reaches the extreme - in this case soft - society takes a turn in the other direction. It's very common knowledge.
