CCS Expert GTO race at Homestead-Miami Speedway in light rain. On board with Greg Gorman on a Kawasaki ZX-10R.

At the start I wheelie and hit the rev-limiter before I can make my shift to second gear. That causes me to stop accelerating and Jeff Holton come by and hits me - no fault of his. The clutch was moved slightly out of position from the contact. My second lap is my personal best at Homestead, a 1:29.073.

  • i ride a 125cc and this video scared the shit out of me, what sort of speeds were they?

    btw amazing video!

  • Only about 150mph. I have the bike geared -2f/+2r so I don't have to use first. I only occasionally hit 6th on this track.

  • as a rule of thumb (for me) I never keep my rpms below 9 grand when racing on my 07 zx6r. great vid bro 5 stars. jus keep it in the powerband :) nice racin.

  • That's a good rule of thumb for the ZX-6. There's a big difference between 9k on a 6 and 9k on my 10 though!

  • Further watching the video i notice that on your "duel" with the GSXR(?), the later is ALOT faster!

  • Yeah... surprised the hell out of me.

  • Nice video. The quality is great. What camera setup were you using?

  • wish i could afford to go on a track

  • yep

  • less than 2 hours if I'm doing an average of 90 mph, oh wait I've done 78 miles in 40 minutes once before ha. I need to go there I really do, I gotta get ahold of that guy that goes there and races. I need to get back to work buy this house, then look at a sv650 for the track or something cheap to put laps down. God knows I'm sick of crappy public roads, or traffic or something else that is in my way.

  • Pittimus, you live near VIR. Less than two hours away from you and one of the best tracks in the country!
