Blake Griffin is a remarkable athlete, just as Jordan and LeBron and Shaq and many others have been. But one of the reasons for the excitement that Lin has generated is that, as viscerally exciting it is to see Griffin dunk, it is the thrill that football provides, not the beauty that is at the heart of basketball as I feel it. The guy with all the assists, the guy who makes an entire team produce a bucket, is a finer thing to watch. Lin is 6'3" -- my height -- so it gives me more a kick.

@hahaitsu1 I'm not saying he tried to injure him, as I said earlier I don't believe it's a flagrant. And no that's not what I'm saying, but griffin could have made this challenge one of two ways and he certainly chose the far more dangerous one; jumping into someone in the air will always be risky and that's why it was a stupid challenge. Don't twist my words.
