Well obviously if they were to apdopt it for a manned combat weapon they would limit the ROF to something more realistic. Besides, even though the Canadian C6 C7 C8 & C9 rifles have full auto, they are usually only fired in 3-10 round bursts (3 for mag fed, 5-10 for belt/box fed) Only an untrained solier who thinks he's John Rambo would need to carry the 'vast ammount of ammo' that has been expected by the naysayers!
actually the majority of the price of ammunition is not the bullet itself, or the powder, but the metal casings. If put into production a metal storm round would be much cheaper than standard ammunition.
Seems to me that since the ammo is in the barrel, they could just make interchangeable barrels. That would probably be only a little slower than changing a clip or chain.
the thing about this gun is its not going to be but into battle cuz it uses way too much ammo. If that gun was used in war the cost of ammo would is enough to crush the income of USA
actually it is very easy and fast to reload. the back simply opens up and the spent canisters are taken out and fresh ones slid into its place. different designs of the gun allow for intire rows of canisters to be removed at once and then replaced. the only problem is because it can fire soooo fast that the vast ammount of ammo that would have to be carried would be a killer. but i dont think this weapon would be very portable :)
These equipments are tough to be used as the kamikaze mentality, it would be majestic if these guys can develop a reload system that cant take much longer time unmanned.
ive heard a lot about this weapon but never anything about reloading them so i guess that means it must take a lot of time and there make them practicly usless on the battlefeild

What would happen if the barrel was pointed down? The bullets would fall out of the barrel, right?
