Cass looks at his and Frankie's picture from their August wedding, then sets it and the flowers down, picks up the phone and calls Stacey in L.A., leaving a rambling message that he's coming out to visit her because she did say anytime and he hopes that she's not in Vegas or Tahiti when she gets this message because he'll be getting in tonight and he leaves her his flight information. (Remember, he told Frankie at the Valentine Ball that if she didn't come back to him, he'd have to leave Bay City because he wouldn't be able to bear watching their whole future slip away, so since that's what he thinks is happening, he's keeping his word to her.) Then Cass hears the windchimes ring. He goes to the window, opens it, takes them down, tucks them under his arm, and leaves the house. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.

You said a mouthful Lucy!! Just brilliant stuff from the writers (the crop of talent at the time was amazing!)and SS was just sooo good. I'm still blown away by how even now AW stands head and shoulders above anything on then or now!!

Oh poor Cass!! If he hadn't been in so much pain at that moment, he might have realized the windchimes were a sign to him to stay.
