The 11th Panchen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima was recognised at age six by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as one of Tibet's most important religious leaders.
Determined to control religion in Tibet, the Chinese authorities kidnapped this young boy and his family on May 17, 1995 just days after he was recognised as the 11th Panchen Lama.

and learn that Tibetans have NEVER considered themselves to be Chinese. And the Chinese have NOT considered the Tibetans to be Han people. Since the invasion of Tibet, Tibetans have NEVER thought of themselves as Chinese in any way.
So what ? There are 56 ethnic minorities in China.
Manchus are not Han Chinese too, but today they are happy to be called Chinese.
After all , Tibet will always and will always be part of China.!!
China and Tibet were controlled by Mongols at yuan and by Manchus at qing.
Tibetans are not happy to be called Chinese or Tibetan Chinese.
It doesn't matter. Tibetans are not belonged to China or Chinese,
