Asperger's and Me
By Caleb Nelson with Jonathan Fessler as Scrip Supervisor
This short comedy discusses that specific situation which we all encounter on a daily basis where you try to avoid that person you just don't want to talk to. "Your walking along and you see someone, you don't really know them but you have to acknowledge their existence because their your second cousins ex girl friend's sister and you don't want to look like a jerk so you kind of look in the opposite direction and pretend you don't see them but it doesn't seem to work..." This film was shot in around 4 hours in Walla Walla Washington at the filmmaker's boot camp.

  • I have aspergers. What does this film have to do with it. No one in the film aside from the name of the film even mentioned the word aspergers.

  • If anything, they both have asperger's syndrome.

  • @mustloveMJ119 I concur

  • i wouldn't mind dating at least one girl with asperger's syndrome at all.

  • @Jacklgf I have aspergers too this film as NOTHING to do with aspergers.

  • This is more of the adhd type of talk, hyper. I have aspergers and adhd this aint aspergers, she displays constant eye contact and uses hand gestures. Theses are the two things I find the hardest in social.situations.

  • Jacklgf - Aspergers isn't black and white. Not everyone shows the same treat to the same degree so even though you may not relate to the particular treat used in the video, me and I bet you many others, do. :)

  • I have aspergers and I get this. I'm like the guy. I attract people who want to talk about their problems and I'm not very good at subtely ending the conversation. I think I attract these people because I try so hard at greeting people because I'm so poor at it because of my AS. I think people misintrep my trying hard as being really interested in them. Neurotpyicals greet each other so skillfully and deftely that this never occurs. Neurotypicals create body language/facial expressions instantly

  • no aspergers here

  • If I don't understand I say something funny, random, or obnoxious which is a lot of the time. It's fun and people get to know you as a "joker" over time.

PS this isn't just an Asperger's problem. Most guys don't want to hear about girls babbling on about their problems. But it pays to pretend if you think she's hot.
