  • @Caroleeena What about Mr Clean Eraser? That might work on the stain.

  • Don't know if this will work for the kind of tape that you use BUT:

Gaffer tape residue on cables is really annoying & you can't scrape a cable like a hard surface. So the trick that I found worked best is to take another fresh piece of gaffer tape and press it on the old glue. (Kind of like using tape to lift pet hair off of fabric.) Repeat several times until all the glue lifts. THEN bust out the goo gone to clean up what's left, you will have to use a lot less of it.

  • I use eucalyptus oil to remove sticky residues - its great for chewing gum in the hair too!

  • hey I just got my 1st led hoop ever... thanks for your video... I was also thinking a bit of baby oil might be able to remove the sticky stuff..

  • I have goo be gone in my house and use it whenever I have cause to. Stuff works great.

  • I've tried Goo Gone but it doesn't begin to touch the red of our North Carolina red clay, which stains ... apparently permanently. I also tried bleach, which also didn't work. I sanded my hoop in the first place to make it more grippy but a second sanding didn't get the red clay stain off, maybe because the first one allowed the clay to get deeper into the tubing. It's a bummer because it makes my lights look so much redder now. I'm thinking of taking them out and putting them into new tubing.

  • oh ew goo be gone will work but it smells horrible!!! LOL
