Gay Christian Answers, episode 4:

If God designed men and women to procreate together, then does that make it a sin to be gay?

In this episode, we respond to a critical e-mail. If you haven't seen the other videos, you might want to check them out first!

ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

Q: Wait, "Gay Christian Network"??? Isn't "gay Christian" an oxymoron?

A: Not at all. "Gay Christian" refers to any Christian who is attracted to the same sex. Some gay Christians are in or seeking gay relationships ("Side A") while others believe the Bible calls them to celibacy ("Side B"). Our organization supports all gay Christians, regardless of side. • hey i have a question.

dont gay people need straight to survive since gay people cant reproduce and be gay.

example - all gay people live on an island and all non gays on another island.

over time all the gays will die off.

given non gays will make more gays you still need non gays to produce gays.

i know this is a way out there question but i wonder what you think about it?

btw i am not gay and not religious and i have nothing against gays or religious people.

  • @IcomeINpeaceisim That's a good question. Often, an issue will arise and people will respond with, "Well, if everyone were that way, the world would be awful." And that's true! However, that doesn't prove anything. For example, if everyone in the world were a farmer, that would be a horrible situation. No doctors, teachers or even people making farm equipment. But that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with farmers. No, gays can't reproduce, but being a minority, that's not a problem.

  • @iamorlin Only because they adopt.

  • I have contacted you in the past but struggle with the whole issue because of my past and although I love the Lord I know I would probably cope heaps of flack from churches that I have attended I live in a small town but have many christian gay friends and have held a strong position in their church with worship leading. any advice would be appreciated thanks for being there Justin.

  • Justin I love your videos keep them cumming, I have so many friends that are gay and or have been in a tough situation but have left the church but.it has been on my heart for a long time to long time to start up a church just like yours for a long time, I have been to bible collage many years I love God and so do my friends but it would be hard for me because my parents would find it tough to accept being gay and christian but, im kind of over that and getting stronger each day.any advice

  • btw I love the ear-point! when I saw it coming I was like "genius!" (Sorry I think I just spammed you with 4 comments. I'm just really interrested in this! And I think you are a cool christian! I would rather listen to you than a priest). Haha ? ;)

  • @iamorlin I agree! They ARE able to have kids even though it's not with eachother :)

  • @GayChristianNetwork Being gay doesn't mean being sterile. A lot of gay people have children. They just don't go around making kids accidentally... for the most part. If this all-gay-people-on-an-island-and-all straight-on-another scenario was true, all I can see happening is population control. People, gay or straight, want kids, and if they want kids, whether they're sexually attracted to the opposite sex or not is irrelevant. They'll just make it happen.

  • @GayChristianNetwork Do you think gays would be a minority if heterosexism did not predominate our society? Would the numbers of gays, straights and bi people be more equal percentage wise if sexual orientation were not an issue (morally, spiritually or otherwise)?

  • You say things in such a calm, reasonable, rational way and I really admire that - clearly you really believe in what you are saying but you respect everyones viewpoint and opinions :) Also, thank you so much for what your doing. I beat myself up about 100 times a day because of my sexuality and you make me feel more normal, more acceptable and more loved by God. So thank you :)

  • I have had a lot of trouble with my homosexuality. I didn't know what to do! I thought I was sin for being gay. I then tried to not believe i God. But I had to believe in something. So I turned in a Satanist. I thought, "If I'm a SIN....then it wouldn't be a problem if I was a Satanist". But I didn't want to be a satanist. So I went through a face of religions. I have been (first) a Catholic then a Satanist, Wiccan, Atheist, Christian, and so on! I was confuse big time!

  • Hands are purposed for what they are "purposed" for, yet to walk on ones hands would not be immoral, sinful or unnatural, but rather a natural variation of their function.

There are Christians who don't believe homosexuality to be sinful or immoral in all cases. And "natural" is often times a subjective term as evidenced by 1 Cor. 11:13-15
