Stacy Lavilla, director of communications at the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO), speaks with Dr. Sam So about the challenges and successes of the advocacy work in eliminating hepatitis b from our communities. Dr. So, who heads the Asian Liver Center at Stanford University, is an internationally recognized expert on hepatitis b, which affects up to 2 million people in the U.S. alone (half of whom are comprised of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders).
