Keep in mind that most Tarot are an altered form of the original Egyptian style. The Golden Dawn changed the original meaning and most decks are based off the change. You'll find that there are some decks that are still Tarot that have more than 78, they're just few. As for Oracle cards, just like Tarot, you have to find one that suits you. They're EXTREMELY similar to Tarot, Tarot just usually has a different organization. Personal preference is all :D

lol ive never heard that they are egyption i hear their more jewish and then adapted down ... the most i hear about them historicaly though has to do with the middle ages and their use in gambling lol

They have a huge history in Egypt actually, I believe it was The Book of Thoth, and we're not talking about Crowley's interpretations. I'll poke at Dave and see if we can get a PCP episode about Tarot origins next season.  And Kemetics and Jews both use a Quabalah teaching, it's said that the Jews learned from the Egyptians, but that's up for grabs in history. ;)

Nice vids, but I do have to say that not all tarot decks come with 78 cards. Some tarot decks only contain the 22 Major Arcana. Besides that, it usually says on the box wether or not it's an oracle or tarot deck.

I use tarot cards... but haven't lately cause i need a new deck... X__x my ace of wands as dissapeared... as well as my hangman... I'm learning how to learn to use Rune dice and Runes in genera. I goofed about with it a year ago, now i've actually bought a few books and my dice are home made of clay and in the kill as i type... ^__^ if they bust i'm pulling out the old wood burning kit and making wood ones.
